Completed Facebook Account

These are my social media accounts which I created for my Caramello chocolate bar my accounts are Facebook, Instagram and Twitter I picked these because of the research that I did informed me that these were the most popular sights to advertise on and to be more creative. I got a lot of views on my social media accounts an example of one is twitter which reached over 400 people this was a positive for me as doing researched helped e to reach this amount by using hashtags which made my post reach a wider audience. I got a lot of engagements on Twitter such as likes, comments and retweets which made my Caramello chocolate bar reach a more mainstream audience which is what I intended to do. Overall, I posted 15 post on my Twitter account building up to the reveal and I got a lot of attention for it as you will see below. For my Instagram account I got a lot of reactions too my post and even people direct messaging me to see if it was real which had a really good impact on my work. I received over 30 likes on most of my post and some comments saying that they are excited to see the new chocolate bar and that my post were really creative. Another thing that I did using Instagram was the use of stories this enabled me to engage with my audience more and helped my with my work, I published my website link on my story which enabled my audience to click on it and re direct them to my website this helped me get more engagement with my website and my audience felt more involved with the Caramello chocolate bar which was my intentions I gained this idea from my research into Instagram statistics and what was the best way to engage with my audience and get the most views. Overall, I feel that my Instagram got more attention out the most of my social media accounts and I am really happy that it had a positive effect on my company and work. For my next social media account it was Facebook this was another sight that a got a lot of interactions with, I got many interactions with my questionnaires that I posted such as what was there favourite Caramello poster and questionnaires about the website I also reached a wide audience with my Facebook account as I told my friends to share it with there friends so that I could get more interactions with my posts. I received lots of good feedback on my posts and information that would help me with improvements for my website and posters this had a positive impact on my work. Overall, I had around 15 posts on my Facebook account that reached a lot of people mainly females which is my audience, I also kept to my colour scheme throughout my social media accounts.
Reflection
I am really happy with how my social media accounts came out in the end, I felt that my audience really liked my content as a got a lot of engagements, comments and likes which really made my caramello bar reach a wider audience. I was happy that I kept to my colour scheme throughout my post this helped with brand awareness too which is a technique that I researched about prior to this. I really feel that my research from previous weeks had a really big impact on my social media as I don’t feel I would have got ass many interactions as I did if I hadn’t done any research. I felt that my audience was involved in the production and the release of my chocolate bar which was my intention this was to help my company reach a wider audience which I did. I also had very good feedback from the questionnaire that I posted on my social media accounts too which also had a positive effect on my work and company. Overall, I am happy with how my accounts turned out with the content that I posted on there from my product and so did my audience from the results I got on social media and my questionnaires.
Here is the production of my website at first I began with importing my company name ‘Delight’ in the middle of my website page as this is something that I had planned out in my planning prior. After I had done this I included my categories section at the top of the page.
After I had done this step I did my social media icons which then linked up to my actual social media accounts which were Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. These were placed at the bottom of my website page.
For the next stage I changed the colour of my category section, I change the letters pink as this is the colour scheme my audience picked out therefore this is the colours that I used.
After this I began with my ‘About us’ page were I included all my information about how the company delight started, I decided to include this information because of the research into existing websites always included about how there company started and other information therefore this is why I made this page

I then added in an interactive slide show about the progress that we have made and talked a little bit about the new Caramello chocolate bar.
After I added in the slideshow I changed the background as I wanted it to be a little more interactive, I decided to have a pink background too as it fit in nicely with my colour scheme. As my slideshow was interactive you could click across or it would move across by itself.
After looking at the slideshow I decided to change it colours, I really liked this one more than the other because it helped my text stand out a lot more.

Next I began my new chocolate bars page first I started with my text on the left side I used a buzz word ‘New’ in my text as it draws the attention in of the reader as they want to know what it is and I changed the colour of it to a dark pink so it attracts the audience instantly this is a good advertising technique.
Next I imported in the image of my chocolate bar I moved this to the right of my text as people read from left to right therefore I thought placing in there would be a good technique, I also enlarged the image too so it stands out and its easy for my audience too see.
The rest of the text underneath is talking about my chocolate bar this was all done in Aviner light font which I had originally done research into and wanted for my website. The font is also something my audience had picked out too as it was feminine and was a clear font.
For the final stage of this page I also included an image of a caramel chocolate bar this was brought off a no copyright page I thought this was a good idea so that my audience could see what I would want my chocolate bar to look like. It also interest them to buy my product

For my next section I did my contests page I began with my text talking about the event which will catch my audience attention as there is prize money to be won however I did include at the bottom that it can only be claimed if you are over the age of 18 as when doing my legal and ethical constraints I found that I am unable to advertise at young children.

On this page I also included an image of my Caramello chocolate bar to show my audience what they will be looking for in store. As it was my contest page I included my contest under my bar which you can see above, I did this in capitals so it instantly got the attention of my audience it was also for my audience to know what the would be looking for in my contest.

For my final section I began my social media and contacts page were I placed in icons that linked to my social media accounts. I also decided it would be a good idea to include a small comment section at the bottom of the contacts page so that people were able to give feedback on the website and what would they rate it.
I decided to add my Caramello bar email in this social media section too as my audience would also be able to give feedback that way too, this was a really good addition to help me keep in contact with my audience which is what I wanted for any feedback. I made this page so that it was clustered and everything was easy to access and in the correct areas so people knew which and what sites the were clicking on.
This was my completed social media and contact page however I decided to include a hit counter, my audience wont see this however when they access the website it will notify me and count how many people go on there, this was another good addition and will help me in my final refection.
I was able to make my website on a phone too using the wix website too therefore I took the advantage and did it, I only needed to move stuff around in the correct place and it was done this will help my audience too as not everyone has a laptop therefore people can access on there phone.
Reflection
Overall, I am really happy with how my website turned out I didn’t have any problems with it and everything went really smoothly, my icons instantly direct you to my social media pages which is what I had planned out to happen and everything else work really good too such as the slide show and the other buttons. During this production I looked back at the previous planning which I had done to help me which certain things such as placement and where I wanted everything to go and overall I think everything looked really good together and went together nicely as I didn’t want an overwhelming website just something simple nice and cute. The research which I had done prior into existing websites also gave me lots of inspiration and knowledge of what to do with my website and really had a good effect on my work. The research enabled my to do things that I had no idea of that could really make a good impact to my website. Overall, I am really happy the way it turned out and it represents my audience really well and I have gained a lot of experience doing this, I also created a questionnaire about my website on what people thought about it as I felt it was a good idea to get an opinion on it you can see this below.
Here is my website – https://ejhoward14.wixsite.com/delight

Here is the screenshots from the production of my logo, firstly I got the font that I wanted from a website called da font were I was able to pick the font I liked type my company name in then download it, I picked this font as it was feminine and as my stuff […]

My new background looked really good and made everything more 3D, this wasn’t something that I hadn’t planned however I am glad I came up with the idea of this and I asked for my audiences opinion on the poster below as to what they think.

After I had changed my background I changed the lettering under my chocolate bar I began fist by brining in the letter ‘A’ this was downloaded of da font and it was the font which my audience had picked I made my letters so it was single and underneath each other I really liked this as it helped clear dead space and it made the poster look more professional, this is another thing that I changed with this poster compared to my planning.

I feel that changing my lettering was a good idea because it helped clear the dead space, here I removed the background and changed it into the light purple which I had picked using the fill tool, I moved my words using the free transform tool.

Here I imported the rest of my text in of da font, I did the same process as before removing the backgrounds using the magic wand tool and using the fill tool to make the text purple however I did decided to move my text to the left side because when you read you did it from right to left this made it look really good and more professional.

After completing all my text I decided that I wanted a caramel sticker at the end of my chocolate bar with the word ‘new’ inside of it therefore I went onto the shape tool and made a small circle and with the fill tool made it an orange colour however it didn’t look very good therefore I came up with a better idea.
After changing the location of the text using the free transform tool I exported my poster as a Jpeg and moved it into Affinity designer this is were I used the mark tool to create the outline of a caramel puddle I then used the fill tool to make it a dark orange, I then used the mark tool again to make several different shapes which I then used the fill tool make them different colours so that they would blend nicely on the caramel puddle. I also did some adjustment using the blend tool so that it looked more even and realistic.
This was my completed caramel puddle which I imported back onto photoshop to place at the end of my chocolate bar, I really liked the way my puddle turned out as I had gained these skills from doing my previous poster doing the caramel drip.

For my next stage I placed my caramel puddle at the end of my chocolate bar this made my chocolate bar more eye catching this is something that I was really happy with, This was not something that I had done in my planning however I believe it was a good add on to my poster and it really gave the effect of a new chocolate bar.

I used the text tool in photoshop to place the word ‘New’ in the caramel puddle this font was in the one that I had picked on my research as I felt it stood out and was very feminine as it was serif, after placing this in a did some little adjustments using the brightness tool and bevel and emboss to make it stand out more after this I was really happy with the way it turned out.
After completing my caramel puddle I decided to go back to the text that is on my poster and do some small adjustments by adding an outer glow effect to it this was done in a lighter shade of purple to make the effect of the text stand out more over the background, this really helped my poster pop.
For my final adjustments I did a little bit of adjusting to the brightness and contrast of my poster, this made my poster look quite smooth but really helped everything stand out really well this was the final touches I did to my poster and I am really happy with it.
Reflection
Overall, I am really happy with they way that my poster turned out and although I did experience some minor changes and issues I felt that they was corrected quickly and really good improvements were mad to help my poster target my audience and stand out really well. My poster had a lot more changes than what I had originally planned for my poster such as the background and text location however I am really positive about that changes which I made and my audience liked the changes too, my only problem which I had was my background as I wanted something that stood out more and wasn’t plain and made my poster look flat, it took me a long time to find a nice background however I did find one which you see on the production screenshots I feel this really helped my poster come together a lot more and the background represents the ripples in the caramel which I am really happy with. I had a lot of influence from my planning and it helped my throughout my production s I was able too look back and have something there that helped me if I forgot anything or I was struggling. I am really happy and confident with my production and I feel that I have gained more skills throughout this production with photoshop and affinity designer, this will also have a good impact on the future on my work.
Here are the responses that I received from my posters, I received really good feedback from my audience overall, however they liked this poster the most which I am happy with as this was my favourite poster after completion.
This is my second poster production this was created on photoshop, firstly I began with my background which was in a light pink shade as it is a feminine colour and it is something that I did on my planning to have a feminine colour that was light to make everything else stand out. The next thing that I did was download my font off da font into photoshop this was so it would be clear and there would be no pixels.
After I imported this I used the magic wand tool to remove the background this made it look clear and stand out, I also used the free transform tool to make it bigger at the top of my page
After I had completed this I used the fill tool to change the colouring of my text this was in a light purple colour as I wanted to keep everything feminine and also stand out to my audience. This was also one of the colour schemes that I picked out which my audience liked,
I did this process with the ‘chocolate bar’ lettering too which I used the free transform tool to make the words bigger and stand out at the top of my poster. This text was also filled in the light purple colour which me and my audience liked.
The next step was importing in my Caramello bar from another photoshop file this was also resized using the free transform tool to make it bigger and slant across my page which I had planned in my planning.
Next I imported in my company name in the bottom right this is something that I had done in my planning and it was to clear some of the dead space. Also I decided to place my company name on my poster as when I was doing research into existing posters they all had there company name on for brand awareness.
After completing this I imported in the rest of my text which was ‘get yours now’ this was also done using the same process as before however this was placed under the chocolate bar as I wanted more of my audience’s attention at the top of the page.
Next I removed the background using the magic wand tool this was so it was clear and stood out at the bottom of the page, I also used the free transform tool to make it bigger like the text above the page.
After removing the background I changed the colour of my text using the fill tool into the light purple which me and my audience picked out.
For the next part I decided to make a caramel puddle with my ‘get yours now’ text inside however It didn’t really look that good and it didn’t make my text stand out therefore I decided I wasn’t having it.
I decided to take a good look at my poster and ask my peers what they thought and they said it would be better if the background was gradient therefore this is what I did, I changed my background using the gradient tool from a nude colour into a pink this looked really good and helped everything else stand out on my poster. I also made faded circles over my poster however I didn’t really like it this was done by using the brightness tool to make it fade.
After reviewing my background again after the gradient change I decided I wanted some more texture therefore I went onto a no copyright page on google and transferred over the image that you will see above and placed it as my background on my poster. I really liked this image as it reminded me of caramel ripples.
This was the first stage of my second poster completed, I decided to leave the rest until tomorrow so that I was able to look over my poster and decide if anything needs to be changed.

Here are the responses that I received from my posters, I received really good feedback from my audience overall, however they liked this poster the most which I am happy with as this was my favourite poster after completion.

After I had done this I added in my final text at the bottom of the page which was ‘out now’ this was in the same font and colour as the other text this was placed as there was unused space and I felt it would look better if something was there. This text was downloaded from da font just like the rest of the text this text is also what my audience had picked too.

For my next step I decided to make my text stand out more so I used the outer glow tool in a light pink colour around my text, this really made it pop and I thought it really helped my text stand out a lot more, I also adjusted it so that the glow spread more so it catches my audiences eye.

I repeated this process with the rest of my text however I decided to change my outer glow to white this helped it stand out a lot more as it was quite bright. I also asked my peers what they thought about the white outer glow or the pink and the white was the most fave therefore this is what I went with and it looked really good.

After changing the outline of all my text I did some small adjustments using the brightness and contrast tool to help everything stand out that little bit more, I was really happy with the way changing the contrast made a really good effect.

This is my completed poster however I need to place my caramel drip back on which I took off while doing my background changes and text, once I put my caramel back on it looked really good you can see my finished poster below.

Reflection
Overall, I am really happy with how my poster came out and so did my audience too. My research helped me a lot too as I wanted something simple yet effective and when doing my research it helped me to create something like that, I also got lots of inspiration from the existing posters that I looked at. Another thing that helped me with the production of my poster was my planning as I was able to look back and gain some ideas that I had put on there this really helped me improve my poster production. Through my production I did experience some minor problems such as the background as I didn’t like it and felt it needed to change into something that stood out more, this is when I spoke to my peers and got there feedback on another background which they really liked, this was part of my problem solving and after I had done this they really liked it. I am happy with my production on my poster and I have gained more skills with photoshop and affinity designer, this will also help me in the future.
Here is a questionnaire that I asked my audience on social media about my poster and another which was on google forms that I emailed out to my audience.
For the start of my poster I placed the word new into photoshop this was download from da font and it was the font that my audience picked as there favourite therefore this is what I used, I then used the free transform tool to move it into the right location that I wanted it.
After I had done my first stage I imported the word chocolate this is were I used the fill tool in pink to fill the word in I picked this colour as it is the colour scheme that my audience picked out as there favourite therefore this is what I used and I thought it looked really really good.
Next I imported the other words for my poster doing the same process these were also filled in pink using the fill tool as it is my colour scheme. After I had done this I used some different techniques in photoshop to make my words stand out the adjustments I used were bevel and emboss this was to make it more 3D and have it stand out more to make it more eye catching for my audience. After I had completed all this I transferred my text onto another file which was made portrait as this helped it look more like a poster, I then changed the background into a light cream as this is something I wanted to do in my planning and I wanted to stick to more feminine colours, this background also helped my text stand out more.
For the next stage I downloaded in my packaging image this was placed central at the bottom of the page, this was done using the free transform tool. I decided to place it at the bottom because when you read, you read down so then my chocolate bar surprises you and stands out at the bottom. It also stood out really nice on the cream background which is how I planned it out.

Next I decided to change the background up a bit, I decided to use the gradient tool and making the cream colour which I had picked go into a white I did this going down as the white would help my chocolate bar image stand out even more which is what I wanted. It also helped the poster have a bit more detail too.
After completing this I exported my poster into Affinity designer this is were I was able to make the caramel at the top of my page which I had done in my planning, this screenshot is a view as to were my caramel will go
Firstly I used the mark tool to create the caramel design that I wanted at the top of my page after this I move it around using the move tool to create more of an effect to get it to look like caramel. I pulled the caramel down to make it look like it was dripping more and I wanted it slightly going over the letters to make it have more of an effect. I thought this looked really good however I needed to have more detail on it to give it more of the caramel effect.
The next stage was using the smooth tool this was a really good adjustment to make it look more realistic and so it didn’t have ruff edges like it had been done using a ruler, I thought using the curve tool was a really good idea and it really helped my caramel look more realistic.
After completing that stage I made several puddle shapes using the mark tool and changed them to different colours so that they would blend nicely in the caramel and to make it stand out more, some adjustments I used for this was the blur tool so it faded nicely and didn’t look to overwhelming.
I repeated the puddle idea several times over the caramel at the top, I changed the colours of some of the puddles into whites using the fill tool this was to make it look like it had some reflection, some other colours I used were browns, dark oranges and light oranges this really made the caramel stand out and look really realistic.

This what the caramel looked like when it was completed, I was really happy with it I also did some small adjustment to it too using the brightness tool were I decided to darken it a little bit to have it look more like caramel and I am really pleased with the outcome of it.
After importing my poster back into photoshop I was looking over my poster I decided I didn’t like the background and I used a gradient tool to and changed the colours to pink and cream and put it across my page, I really liked this idea and it made it more feminine which I thought my audience would really like, I also asked what my peers thought of having a pink background and they liked the idea too therefore I went with a pink background.

Next I imported in my company name this was placed in the bottom left using the free transform tool, I placed it in the bottom left to clear up some dead space I decided to put it on my poster because when I was doing my research every poster that I looked at had it on for brand awareness therefore this is what I did for mine too.

After I had changed my background I began editing my text, I decided that I wanted it to stand out more and to have a more 3D effect on it so I went into the adjustment section and found bevel and emboss this enabled me to have more 3D text and it looked really good.

I completed this process for the rest of my text, as you can see it stands out a lot more and it looks really good. I felt this was a good decision to make as it was lacking that in your face effect and this adjustment give it that. I also asked my peers what they thought about it and they really liked it to therefore I kept it like that.
I decided to end my production there for my first day and continue the rest tomorrow so I could go over and look at my poster and see if anything should be changed
Here is a questionnaire that I asked my audience on social media about my poster and another which was on google forms that I emailed out to my audience.

Here is my packaging blog my first step was getting a template design which I got of google this was a no copyright template I have placed the link in below. I placed this on a blank A4 landscape file.
After this I began using my colour scheme on it by filling my packaging in white using the fill tool and the quick select tool after I had done this I did the edges of my packaging in the pink which I had picked out for my colour scheme overall I thought this looked really good.
After completing this I use the pen tool in a caramel colour and began drawing the drip above my packaging, this is something that I had planned out on my packaging planning. When doing the caramel drip I used the gradient tool to have a more caramel effect using a light orange and a darker orange and I thought this look really good.
The next step was bringing in the name of my chocolate bar which I downloaded of da font using the specific font that my audience picked this was placed on another file while I sorted out the font colour and adjustments to it.

After I had placed this in Photoshop I used the fill tool to colour in my product name which looked really good after I had done this I used the bevel and emboss tool to make the text look more 3D and stand out more this was a really good idea as it helped when I placed it on my packaging.
This is what my packaging looked like after I had placed the name of my chocolate bar on my product, I used the free transform tool too move it to where I wanted it which was central as it stood out more there.
The next step was bringing in my tagline as you can see on this screenshot, this was also downloaded from da font and in the same font as my audience picked on my questionnaire.

After I had completed that step I then used the fill tool I implemented the colour scheme which was pink which I then used the bevel and emboss adjustment to make it stand out more. I also used the free transform tool to make my text bigger so that I could delete anything that didn’t look right.

After I had done this I placed it on my packaging underneath the title this looked really good and I thought it came together nicely.
This was the end of my packaging until I decided I didn’t really like the caramel at the top of the packaging and that it needed to change therefore to solve this problem I went onto google to look at caramel drip and I found some really nice designs after finding these I decided to get rid of the original caramel above the packaging and import my packaging into Affinity designer, I picked Affinity designer as I knew it could give me access to the tools I wanted to create my new caramel.
For the next process I went on google and got an image of caramel then use the mark tool and went around the caramel then using the drip tool pick the colour on the caramel image then filled it in my own.

After this step I deleted the google caramel and began shaping mine using the smooth tool and the select tool to make it longer and bigger so it fit nicely across the packaging. Here is a close up of me smoothing out the edges, I did this so it look more realistic.
After completing this I began making some small puddle shapes using the mark tool and filling them in with light and darker oranges to layer them up on the caramel to give it a better look and make it look more like caramel this took a lot of layers as I didn’t want to do them all on the same one just in case anything went wrong.

For some of the puddles I did some small adjustments on them using the blur tool just so that it faded nicely over the other puddles of caramel I also did this in some different colours so the shading looked more natural.
This is what my caramel looked like after I had done all the shading and puddles on it, and I also placed the google image one underneath to compare it and I thought it looked really good.
For the next step I did some brightness adjustments to the caramel so the end bits were lighter and to make it stand out a lot more. The final screenshot is the final result of my packaging which I am extremely happy with.

For my final step I did some brightness and contrast changes to the whole packaging just to make it stand out more which I did achieve and I am really happy with the results. You can see my final and completed packaging below.

Reflection
Overall, I am extremally happy with how my packaging came out at the end even with some problems and problem solving in the production it turned out really well. I fell that the production did go really well and the software’s that I ended up using were photoshop and Affinity designer. I feel like my planning also really helped me in my production as it was something that I was able too look back at when I forgot something or if there was anything I needed to change or something that I needed to inspire me. Another thing that really helped me in my production is the chocolate bar research that I had done this had a really big impact on my planning and my production and I feel that my packaging looks very professional as it’s clean and stands out which I wanted for my audience. Although I did experience some problems in my production these were solved quickly and easily with the inspiration on my research and from my other peers in class. I am really happy with how my packaging turned out and so did my audience when I did a questionnaire on did they like it and why, I have also gained more experience with photoshop and affinity designer with this process.
